Life is a a Really, Really, Really, Really, Long, Intense, Beautiful, Sad, Colorful, Cascading Poem

Well, since this is a newer blog, I just wanted to post some of the poetry that has fallen out of my cluttered brain onto paper (well, sometimes screen). So I'll post some of my recent works.

A Year:
September swirls,
Her long, dark curls.
The breeze between our noses.

October leaves,
our laughing heaves.
with poetry and roses.

December snow,
where would we go
When Christmas brought out music?

January's cold,
-- or so we've been told.
We never did quite choose it.

February's frost,
we were never lost;
Each others' arms were home.

March brought spring,
and with each new thing,
through flowers we did roam.

April drizzle,
-almost like a chisel
Helped to sculpt our lives.

May and its trees,
we stood high, on our knees;
This was very wise.

June's bright sunlight
brought with blissful delight
Each kiss that we did share.

July's dry heat,
with it we did keep,
They said "You're quite the pair!"

August came,
most always the same.
We surely were elated!

September swirls,
her long, dark, curls.
It sadly terminated...

Reflections
Reflections of the skyline
Sunsets from a distance.
Mind rests from daylight;
Relaxes for an instant.

Reminders of a lifetime
Drenched in unsurity.
Flutter uncontrollably
Despite close-spoken encouragement.

"Will life ever get easy,
Simple, or even bearable?"
Doubt resounds to mind,
Cluttered, flailing, but unparalleled.

Fathomed depths of water
Dark and muddied time to time.
After ripples of uneasiness
Touch the surface, so sublime.

"Action to reaction,"
Chimes the never-ending cycle.
Rinse and lather and repeat,
Again, again without a stifle.

Muddied waters: will you settle?
Troubled heartstrings, will you hear?
The sound of each blue sky falling victim
To some distant face's cheer?

Defiant spirit races quickly
Down the slopes of time and space.
Every second brings me closer
To a supposed "finished" race.

A force from inside of me
Keeps me ever wanting more.
It's frantic, yet mellow,
a vague blue; not red or yellow.

Ripples on the water's surface
Match the sunset's waning streaks.
Eyes are darkened, slowly closing,
Their inner plumbing full of leaks.

Star Sailing:
To see beginning in an end
Requires a special sort of friend.
One who helps you see through the opaque.

You might find him in a mirror,
He will show your deepest fears.
But in learning them new courage you will take.

You might take flight into a star,
Where You'll surely find out who you are.
Shake your ankles free and you will finally see.

Obstacles only block your way,
If you let them have their say.
Come and sail among the stars with me.

Summer
The pines in the wind's might
Sway like ripples in the twilight.
A campfire burns, slowing;
Embers, red hot, glowing.

Time seems to pause there,
As friends gather and stare.
At Smoke's rising, life-like
Ever, like twisted light.

Shadows, on the outside,
Unknown, but all confide
In the light of the full moon,
And the clear, blue lagoon.

Each one, so captivated
Mindlessly fixated,
On the flames and their source,
Ever feeling their warmth.

Swaying of docks slight,
Brilliance of stars' light.
Forged far away,
Oh, why can't we stay?

Though best friends today,
Time soon fades away
Too quickly, farewells hissed,
Leave the heart abbyssed.

New Blog

This is my replacement for my last blog under my older email address: http://thoughtswithinawhirlwind.blogspot.com/. We'll see if I'm a better blogger now haha.

My scope/goal in this case is to fill it full of colorful creative poems, song lyrics, stories, musings, etc.
